Peggy Bruner

Peggy was born and grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and lived in New Haven, Milford, Stratford, and Shelton. She graduated from Southern Connecticut State College and earned a master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport. Peggy was an elementary school teacher in Stratford, grades 3, 4, and 6, for 32 years. Soon after retirement, she moved to North Port.

Peggy began volunteering with several organizations, including the North Port Performing Arts Center, Quality Health Care Center, Big Brothers, and Big Sisters, Backpack Angels, and San Pedro Catholic Church. She has been a member of the Allamanda Garden Club, the San Pedro Holy Name Society, and the Friends of the Shannon Staub Public Library. Peggy has recently become a member of the FOSSPL board and plans to volunteer at the FriendShop Book Store.
